Denver Rescue Mission Needs 15,000 Turkeys By Wednesday

DENVER, CO — The Denver Rescue Mission needs to collect a whopping 15,000 turkeys by Wednesday, a day before Thanksgiving. The charity, along with 100 agencies, will use the turkeys to bringing a meal to people in need in the Colorado city.

In addition to that, more than 3,000 food boxes will be distributed people at Lawrence Street Community Center, Fort Collins Rescue Mission, and The Crossing.

Those interested in helping the cause can donate frozen turkeys that are 12 pounds or more or the following items:

Boxed Mashed PotatoesBoxed StuffingCanned FruitCanned VegetablesCanned Yams

Donations are being accepted at the following locations:

Ministry Outreach Center at 5725 E. 39th Ave. between 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. dailyThe Crossing at 6090 Smith Rd. between 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily
